The caretaker chairmen of eighteen local government areas of Ondo State have commended Governor Rotimi Akeredolu for the industrialisation drive of his administration in the past two years.
The chairmen, who visited the Ore industrial estate, said they were impressed with the commitment of the Akeredolu-led government to turn the state from civil service-oriented to an industrial hub.
The caretaker chairmen under the aegis of the association of local government of Nigeria (ALGON), took a tour of various factories at the Ore industrial park at Omotosho in Ore.
The factories included the paper and textile mills, ethanol plant, and the tricycle assembly plant. The group, led by its chairman, Augustine Oloruntogbe, described what they saw as uncommon strides towards industrializing the state.
He added that they were convinced that based on strides of the governor in all sectors, another opportunity would enable him do more for the development of the state.
They also commended Governor Akeredolu for his efforts at improving the internally-generated revenue of the state, without additional burden on the people.
